Delegates to this year’s Fleet & Mobility Live can secure a discount on training courses offered by the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP).

The AFP is offering a 10% discount on 2026 Fleet Academy Training face-to-face courses. Delegates should visit the AFP stand at the event – taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on October 7 and 8 – to get their discount code and book and pay by 30 November this year to secure the early bird rate.

The AFP’s Peter Eldridge is also hosting a session on the basics of fleet management at 1pm on Wednesday, October 8. The session will provide an overview of the basic skills and core principles needed by a modern fleet manager.

It aims to help fleet managers discover - or rediscover - the key pillars that make up the foundation of fleet management, including licence checking, H&S rules, risk, grey fleet and writing a robust vehicle handbook.

It is just one of several informative sessions being held over the two days in three dedicated theatres: Strategy & Leadership, Fleet Management and HR, Finance & Procurement.

Topics being covered at the event will include electrification, spotlights on fleet trailblazers, managing serious road incidents involving your drivers, the use of AI in fleet operations, managing risk, minimising in-life fleet management costs and alternative fuels.
