Three procurement experts will be advising on negotiating greater value from suppliers in a panel at Fleet & Mobility Live.

With decision-makers from public and private sector fleets facing growing pressure to optimise their budgets, the early conversations when tendering for new partners have become invaluable opportunities for negotiation.

Visitors to Fleet & Mobility Live 2025 will hear informed opinions and pick up useful tips on how to negotiate with suppliers when tendering for new partners as part of the procurement process.

The panel will run from 12pm on Wednesday, October 8 and feature the following experts:

  • Chris Demetriou, assistant director of corporate fleet, transport & accessible community transport at Islington Borough Council.
  • James Rooney, head of road fleet at Network Rail.
  • Peter Vickers, business development manager at TPPL.

Attend this panel to find out about crucial elements to cover in those initial discussions with suppliers and potential partners, along with useful guidance on the social value that can be found in procurement.

Learn how innovation, buying frameworks and driver-related factors can come together in the procurement process to deliver a fleet that is fit-for-purpose.

This panel is running as part of the HR, Finance & Procurement theatre, one of three theatres of discussion running across both days of this year's Fleet & Mobility Live.

Don’t miss out on the wide range of panels and learning opportunities, featured vehicle zones, and supplier exhibitions available at Fleet & Mobility Live on October 7-8 at the NEC Birmingham.
